Ethernet over Copper (EoC)

What is Ethernet over Copper?

Ethernet over copper (EoC) is becoming more popular as a means to deliver symetrical dedicated bandwidth to businesses.  EoC runs over multiple pair of twisted copper wires, however differs from traditional T1 and other legacy connections.

EoC runs over multiple pair of twisted copper, when one strand of copper goes down, the circuit remains up at a lower speed.

*EoC is distance sensative and may not be available every location.

Benefits of EoC

  • Symetrical bandwidth

  • Reliability

  • Affordability

  • Accessibility

  • Ideal where fiber is not a viable option.
